Dixie Chicks: Top of the World Review

Hop To

Filmed during the North American leg of their 2003 Top Of The World tour Country and Western band the Dixie Chicks are captured live on stage performing hits from their three multi-platinum albums - Wide Open Space, the best-selling debut album in country music history; Fly, the first album by a country group to debut at No.1 on the Billboard Top 200; and Home, which also went straight to No.1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. It should be obvious that the Dixie Chicks have more than enough quality material to justify not only a 79 show World Tour playing to fans in North America, Europe and Australia, but also a double CD and this music DVD chronicling their live show prowess.

I was, at first, a little disappointed that film clips from numerous shows have been edited together, but as I started to get into the swing of things I actually came to appreciate the variety that doing things this way offered. It's also quite apparent that the Chicks are not only consummate performers, but also supremely talented - chalk up one more fan, girls!
