    Brother Bear DVD Review
    SRP: £19.99

    Picture

    A solid, colourful 16:9
anamorphic picture makes the most of
    some impressive images; obviously the
image is clean and sharp, and the colour
    palette is strong and accurate.

    Sound

The sound is English in DD5.1 or
DTS, and there's also an English audio
    descriptive track. THX approved, the
    sound is impressive throughout, with
    strong centrally-positioned dialogue,
imaginative use of the surround channels
and powerful subwoofer effects. Not that
the audience of toddlers is likely to notice.

    Extras

As with the picture and sound
quality, Disney has done a good job
with the extras. There are two-anda-
half minutes of spoof outtakes, a
    'commentary' by mooses Rutt and
Tuke, a Phil Collins music video, games,
a featurette on Native American tales, a
    design featurette, deleted scenes, a
    deleted song, English subtitles and
    a THX optimiser.

    Verdict

Pretty typical animal animation from an
    increasingly unimaginative Disney, but the
    DVD's a cracker.
