World of Tanks trundles on to Xbox 360 on Feb 12th
Tanks: who doesn’t love them? And there’s a whole world of the armoured fighting vehicles coming to the Xbox 360 next week, following a beta trial.
Developed by Wargaming West (formerly Day 1 Studios), World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition will be released globally on February 12, 2014.

Custom built specifically for the Xbox 360, the game will bring the franchise’s trademark 15 versus 15 team-based tactical online action to Xbox Live gamers around the globe.

The game, published by Microsoft Studio, follows a free-to-play model for Gold members but those not shelling (no pun intended) out for a subscription will still be able to download and try it out for a seven day period

The title features “all new intuitive controls” and integration of Xbox Live features like Parties, Achievements and a custom user interface designed for the large screen experience.

Of course, free-to-play means there will be incentivised purchases aplenty, including premium tanks, consumables and premium accounts to boost experience and currency accrual rates.

On its launch, the game will feature more than 100 iconic tanks from the USA, the UK and Germany but will be expanded with additional tanks, nations and more in the future.

Who’s up for a bit of tank action?
