Wharfedale get in on the soundbar act with Vista 100
SRP: £149.95
Wharefdale is bringing its years of speaker manufacturer experience to the soundbar market.
The Wharfedale Vista 100 spans less than a metre in width yet still manages to pack in six neodymium drivers, which they claim negates the need for a separate subwoofer unit.

The Vista incorporates the manufacturers Sonic Emotion Absolute 3D technology to provide a wider sweetspot and to deliver spatial, room-filling audio.

The combination of technologies onboard and design actually netted them an official ‘Innovations Design and Engineering Award’ at the 2014 International CES in Las Vegas last month.

Virtually every soundbar we see these days is equipped with Bluetooth streaming capabilities and this one is no different. Wired connections include two digital audio (1 coax, 1 optical), RCA stereo and a 3.5mm jack.

The Vista 100 package includes a remote control providing remote access to all functions, including a choice of four EQ modes. You can select from Game, Movie, Music, as well as off, which will just pass-through the signal.

There are also independent Bass and Treble controls to help you tune it successfully for your living room.

The Wharfedale Vista 100 is available later this month (February 2014) and carries a suggested retail price of £149.95, which puts it right in the mix.
