TCL’s mix of 4K TVs for 2021 includes the C825 Mini-LED, the C725 QLED and the 4K HDR P725 models.
C825 4K Mini LED TV
Last year, TCL’s C815 QLED TV hit UK shops and found favour in the AVForums review, so it’s more possible than ever that the closely named C825 might be the first TCL Mini-LED TV to make it to consumers in the United Kingdom.
The C825 has a Mini LED backlight with LED sizes ranging from 100 - 200 μm and, combined with Quantum Dot Display Technology, it offers a higher colour gamut and ultra-high targeted brightness to its images.
With Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Vision IQ, which dynamically adjusts to the changing light in the room as well as the types of content being played back and maxmises the full capabilities of the TV, the best possible images are always available.
The C825 also has an IMAX Enhanced mode to take advantage of material which has been mastered in this format and uses 120Hz MEMC and a 120Hz display for smoother images while watching fast moving content such as sport or when gaming.
Gaming fans will also be pleased to hear about the low input lag and HDMI 2.1 capabilities which deliver VRR and ALLM. There’s also eARC, Wi-Fi 6 and a magnetic 4MP camera for visual and audio interactions during video calls.
C725 4K QLED TV
This Quantum Dot TV delivers nearly 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut which, when combined with real-time optimization of different content genres provided by the AiPQ Engine, plus Dolby Vision, all ensure a high image quality.
Dolby Atmos comes courtesy of the Onkyo speakers and content is available from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and more.
Meanwhile, MEMC supports smooth images and gamers will benefit from HDMI 2.1, while hands free control is available via TCL’s Voice Control 2.0.
P725 4K HDR TV
Meanwhile, the P725 drops the Quantum Dot display of the C725 but keeps many other features including Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, MEMC and Hands-Free Voice Control 2.0. The P725 comes with the latest Android TV experience and the millimetre-thin metallic trim design helps provide a sense of immersion without a distracting bezel.
