Star Wars The Last Jedi Trailers and Behind the Scenes Video
After an unusually long period of silence, the marketing machine is about to go into overdrive for Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi. The teaser trailer dropped back in April and since then it's been a rough ride for the Star Wars franchise with the sacking of Phil Lord and Chris Miller from the untitled Han Solo movie and the recent sacking of Colin Trevorrow from Episode IX. So there's a lot riding on The Last Jedi and a great deal has been made by Lucasfilm about what a wonderful job writer/director Rian Johnson has done with the film.
It certainly seems to have been plain sailing for the eighth chapter in the Star Wars saga, with no negative news and nothing but praise about the production from cast and crew. Johnson finished the post-production two weeks ago, so it looks as though Episode VIII will be arriving in cinemas without the drama that accompanied Rogue One with its extensive reshoots and rumours of director Gareth Edwards taking a backseat.
The full trailer for The Last Jedi has now arrived and it looks epic, with a tone and story that appears to be very different from The Force Awakens. Tickets have also started going on sale, so get those credit cards out and get booking! Yes we may not be happy with the direction that Lucasfilm have been taking with the standalone movies and there is a very real danger of Star Wars fatigue with so many films in production but who are we kidding, we'll be there on opening night.
Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi opens in UK cinemas on the 14th of December.
