Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi Teaser Trailer Arrives
We'd barely got our Rogue One Blu-rays out of their wrappers before Lucasfilm dropped the first teaser trailer for the hotly anticipated Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi.
The Last Jedi panel was held at Star Wars Celebration 2017 with Josh Gad hosting a line-up that included Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy, writer/director Rian Johnson, stars Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega and newcomer Kelly Marie Tran. In amongst the usual backslapping Rian Johnson said that The Last Jedi is in post-production and that he’s still editing the film. He also said that he had the time of his life shooting at Pinewood Studios just outside London. They ended with the first screening of the trailer, which did an excellent job of teasing the upcoming film but will The Last Jedi finally reveal the secret of Rey's parents, will the film explain exactly who Supreme Leader Snoke is and will Mark Hamill get any lines this time? Well we only have eight months until we find out.
Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi
The Last Jedi is written directed by Rian Johnson (Looper) and stars Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren. This time there will be a more substantial role for Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and Episode VIII represents the late Carrie Fisher's final film role (according to Kathleen Kennedy Princess Leia will not appear in Episode IX contrary to earlier reports). Other returning characters will include C-3PO, R2-D2, Chewbacca, BB8 and Supreme Leader Snoke, along with Kelly Marie Tran as Rose a Resistance maintenance worker, whilst Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro also join the cast as new characters.

Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi opens in UK cinemas on the 15th of December.
