Accessibility options also improved

  • Sky is rolling out an update to Sky+ adding new options to make it easier for you to catch up on your favourite shows; the new, headlining features are Auto Play and Catch Up Series Link.
Viewers will now be able to watch episode after episode of the latest box set with the appropriately titled Auto Play or set Series Links on Catch Up shows.

The new features follow the latest in a series of updates to Sky+ this year, including Download Next, which automatically downloads the next episode in a series customers are watching and the introduction of the Continue Watching tab in the Planner, so you can easily pick up where you left off. The updates, they say, reflect Sky’s continued investment in Sky+, if it seemed as though Sky Q was getting all the love.

To use Catch Up Series Link, go to the Catch Up TV section or a Catch Up show that’s been downloaded to the Planner and press the green button to ‘Series Link’.

Accessibility options have also been given some attention with the ability to increase the font size on the Homepage and Services Homepage, through the new ‘Increase Homepage Font Size’ setting. Select the Accessibility tile after pressing the Services button and choose ‘LARGE’ to increase the font. Customers can still adapt the contrast and font size across the whole Sky Guide through the ‘Increase Sky+ Contrast & Font size’ setting.

Luke Bradley-Jones, Director of TV and content products, commented: “We know our customers love the freedom to easily watch episode after episode of their favourite TV shows, which is why we continue to invest in new features for Sky+. So whether it’s binge watching addictively good box sets like Billions and The Blacklist, or catching up on your favourite series, including Ray Donovan or A League Of Their Own, Auto Play and Catch Up Series Link give customers the flexibility to watch their favourite shows the way they want.”
