Sharp announces HT-SBW202 2.1 channel soundbar

Sharp has added the affordable 2.1 channel HT-SBW202 to its portfolio of soundbars. Complete with a wireless subwoofer, the SBW202 is designed as an easy and affordable solution to upgrade TV audio at home and is suitable for screen sizes of 40-inches and above.

With a total power output of 200W, the HT-SBW202 and its wireless subwoofer showcases a cinematic soundstage with impressive levels of bass reproduction. Three pre-installed equaliser modes called News, Movie and Music create suitable individual sound curves matched to the content type, whilst a custom equaliser can be set for personal preferences.

The premium matte housing of the SBW202 offers a sleek, smooth-ended aspect along with metal front detailing and is suitable for any TV setup in a modern environment. The soundbar is easily installed and calibrated to your space and can be wall mounted or sited on a table-top.

The four physical connections include an HDMI ARC port which passes audio from the TV to the soundbar via HDMI while its CEC function allows users to control the volume on the soundbar with the TV remote control instead of the the supplied zapper, and for those that prefer to get up close and personal, there are control buttons available on the SBW202 itself.

Bluetooth is included for wireless music streaming from smartphones or tablets and an optical digital input guarantees high quality audio transmission from a TV, Blu-ray player or game console. There’s also a 3.5 mm AUX input for connecting external devices, as well as a USB interface with MP3 playback compatibility.
