From the Forums: Total DIY Home Cinema Room

  • Since our last item on a member home cinema build went down so well, we thought it high time to feature some more excellent work from one of Forum members.
Ronski and family originally bought this house because it was on a corner plot and looked ripe for extension to make a nice sized family home. Ron actually designed the extension, himself, resulting in a 'nice sized' 5 bedroom family home.

The house is fully networked with Cat 5e, and networked Heatmiser thermostats. There’s a server, various media centre PCs and also a multi-switch in the loft sending Freesat and Freeview around the house. Ron started designing and building the cinema room in May 2014; the full and detailed build thread can be found here.

According to Ron, the project is pretty much finished – it looks pretty good to us Ron – so enjoy, and perhaps envy, some of these snaps.
