Pro-Ject introduce Ringo Starr Turntable
Only a week after Pro-Ject released a Guns N’ Roses Artist Edition turntable, the Austrian audio company has announced a Ringo Starr edition, designed by the man himself.
Dubbed the Peace and Love edition, it’s quite a lurch from last week’s ‘Most Dangerous Band in the World’ version and it celebrates 30 years of the former Beatle’s All Starr Band which has featured a huge, rotating roster of famous musicians over the years, including Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Colin Hay, Richard Marx, Steve Lukather, Paul Carrack and many others.

Once again, the special edition is based on the Essential III A turntable, which has been upgraded with a stylish acrylic platter, and Ringo’s very own designs form the basis of the artwork which has has been printed directly onto the top of the resonance insensitive MDF plinth. The platter is also designed to eliminate some of unwanted resonsonances usually caused by other platters and sports a low tolerance bearing & stainless steel spindle. Its semi-transparent look allows the artwork to remain largely visible although you’ll need transparent records to maintain the effect when you’re listening to music!
