Polk Audio introduces Signa Solo Sound Bar
Polk Audio has announced its least expensive sound bar to date, the Signa Solo which retails at just £149.
The Signa Solo extends beyond its price tag with an expansive, multi-dimensional soundstage and detailed stereo imaging for music and home cinema applications, says the manufacturer, thanks to Polk’s Patented SDA digital surround technology.

To enhance vocals for clear dialogue in movies, games, sports and music, the sound bar also features Polk’s patented Voice Adjust technology, allowing the user to manually adjust voice levels for improved intelligibility. With Dolby Digital decoding, the Signa Solo decodes and produces virtual surround sound, and Bluetoothis also built in.

The sound bar can be set up with the included optical input cable and Polk SmartBar technology, making it compatible with all TV remotes for easy control. Despite its small stature, the Signa Solo packs four 2.5-inch full-range drivers with built-in bass ports. With several one-button preset EQ settings like “Movies,” “Music” and “Night” modes, users tailor their music and home theater settings to taste.

We’ve focused on developing products that perfectly pair audio with TVs,” said Michael Greco, global brand director, Polk Audio. “For users who need a simple solution to quickly and easily improve their TV and movie experience at home with no hassle, the Signa Solo is the perfect option. It delivers Polk’s immersive sound, can be connected in a matter of minutes with a simple optical cable and is easily controlled via any TV remote – no programming necessary.”

The Signa Solo joins the Signa S1 sound bar and subwoofer system, completing the Signa collection of sound bars. Similar to the technologies found in the Signa Solo—Dolby Digital decoding, SDA digital surround and Patented Voice Adjust Technology—the Signa S1 also features an ultra-low-profile design, standing at just 5.5 cm tall, and includes a slim wireless subwoofer

The new Signa Solo sound bar will be available in black in September 2017 at authorised Polk retailers.
