PlayStation 4 Games coming to PlayStation Now

Playable on PS4 and Windows PCs

  • Sony’s subscription based games streaming service, PlayStation Now is soon to support games released for the PS4 via both the flagship console and Windows PC
The announcement, made via the PlayStation Blog, means that all of the current 483 PlayStation games in the service, plus the new PS4 games, will be included with a single PS Now subscription.

In the next few weeks, Sony will begin private testing with PS4 games on PS Now. If you’re an active PS Now subscriber, you should keep an eye on your email in case you get an invitation.

PS Now uses cloud streaming technology meaning you can access the entire catalogue of games, select one, and start playing quickly without needing to wait for downloads, although you’ll need to make sure your internet connection speed is a minimum of 5Mbps for stable gaming. PS Now also uses cloud saves, letting you start a game on PS4 and continue playing on another PS4 or even a Windows PC whenever you fancy.

A the time of writing (14 March 2016), the subscription cost of PlayStation Now is £12.99, in the UK, which has always seemed a little steep, to us, but the inclusion of PS4 titles makes it seem more reasonable, especially if some of the exclusive blockbusters are added to the roster.
