  • Philips new LCD TV line-up for 2018 will use NanoLED technology for improved colours, IPS panels for wider viewing angles and the P5 picture processing engine.
The Philips TV P5 picture processing engine that has already graced their OLED TV line-up will now be included in their LCD range as well. For the new 8000 range the P5 processor is combined with wide colour gamut IPS panels (presumably from LG) and NanoLED technology - which features a layer of 1nm nano particles to absorb excess light waves to allow better color purity, especially at wide viewing angles.

All of the new Philips Android TVs will be Google Assistant ready, while the 6000 Series will debut Philips new linux-based Saphi Smart TV platform. The Philips TV experience should also become more immersive in 2018 with all new Ambilight models now featuring the three-sided version of the ever popular and unique technology.
