Panasonic announce SC-HTB488 & SC-SB1 soundbars
Panasonic has today (15/02/2017) unveiled a new Sound Bar and a next-generation Sound Bar concept to add to its speaker line-up, with the SC-HTB488 speaker system and the SC-SB1 Soundbar concept
Panasonic is calling the the SC-HTB488 a speaker system but it’s really just a speaker bar which allows you to connect to the subwoofer via a wireless connection (SC-SB1 has a built-in subwoofer in the main unit) and Bluetooth Wireless Technology is also integrated so you can listen to music from your smartphone or tablet. The HTB488 has been designed to complement TVs with larger screens.
The SC-HTB488 features two independent speakers and 200W total output power and both bars allow for an AUX connection. The speaker found in the new device has been designed to adapt to clear, high-fidelity music playback.
The SC-SB1 Sound Bar concept provides 40W total power generated via 3-way speakers, and bass is delivered via a slit at the front of the device. At just 43cm x 5cm x 12cm in size, it’s a compact solution for the living room.
We await release and pricing details.
