The latest trailer for the Poltergeist remake shows that the only thing they've really changed in the new film is the size of the TV.
With the release date fast approaching this new trailer seems to prove what we all suspected, that the Poltergeist remake is little more than a rehash of all the best moments from a film that nailed those PG-13 scares back in 1982. The latest version has Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt as the unfortunate parents, Kennedi Clements as the little girl swallowed by the TV and Kyle Catlett as the little boy terrorised by his demonic clown doll. Although clowns and dolls have always been scary, so who in their right mind would give a kid a clown doll as a toy? There's no sign of the paranormal investigators from the original film but we do get Jared Harris giving it the full 'Oirish' in the Zelda Rubinstein role.
The film opens on the 22nd of May and is released in 2D and post-converted 3D versions.
