  • Naim recently reinvigorated their Mu-so wireless speaker to a second generation iteration which included AirPlay 2 and now their Uniti range is also also getting Apple’s streaming platform added.
This means that following on from the original Mu-so’s upgrade last year and the recent release of the Mu-so 2, the Uniti Star, Atom and Nova will all be updated and, in addition, a new DAB/FM module will be available for the Star and Nova models.

AirPlay 2 enables streaming of music or podcasts directly from an iOS device. It can open also up multi-room streaming across enabled devices from a range of manufacturers providing they using the same home Wi-Fi network - all controlled via an iPhone, iPad or Mac. Additional benefits include improved audio buffering, Siri voice control and seamless integration. Control across multiple iOS devices is possible too, so there can be plenty of battles over who’s listening to what in which room!

Also announced for the Star and Nova models is a DAB/FM module upgrade which will provide even more content sources to the Uniti range adding to the included internet radio capabilities and extensive streaming options.

Existing customers will need to contact their retailer and arrange to return their device for the upgrade, while new purchasers will need to specify the additional module at the point of purchase. The upgrade costs £150 / $199 and is available now.
