Naim debuts free HD Radio upgrade

Naim introduces a range of HD Radio stations plus a radio upgrade for all its streaming systems.

Available today and for a grand total of zip, renowned British Audio Manufacturer Naim Audio is introducing new, plus improved quality, radio options for users of its streaming speakers, systems and separates.

A re-invigorated Naim Radio HD will be joined by dedicated Naim Jazz HD and Naim Classical HD radio stations with all three available in up to CD quality. 

These will be added to a devoted HD Radio category which can be accessed and browsed from the Naim App. They join a fully curated collection of high quality global radio streams including Radio X, Intense Radio, the full Radio Paradise network, Frequence 3 network, NRJ Paris, Rondo Classic, Sector Network, Insanity Radio and Magic Radio and while these may not be familiar to everyone, the scope and choice can’t be denied.

Owners of Naim Mu-so and Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation wireless speakers, Uniti Atom, Star and Nova systems, and ND 5 XS2, NDX 2, ND 555 players will be able to enjoy the three new Naim Radio stations as high-quality, 16bit/44.1kHz FLAC streams, and the HD Radio selection at their native resolutions – some as high as 24bit/96kHz.

Moreover, users of legacy Naim streaming products also get a quality upgrade, with AAC 320kbps streams now available, matching the highest-quality output from BBC Radio stations.

These higher-quality radio options will be available via the Naim App from today with no software upgrade required.

Naim Records manager, James Tailby, commented, “The new Naim Radio HD channels are home to the entire, updated Naim Records back catalogue – covering everything from some of the very first classic releases, right up to the electrifying debut tracks from latest signing, Fable - truly showcasing our eclectic and exciting roster.”
