Mitchell & Johnson UK Hi-Fi specialists to close
Despite only forming in 2012, UK Hi-Fi specialists Mitchell & Johnson have sadly announced they are to cease operations.
Effective immediately, the company will close its business amid the challenging consumer and trading conditions that currently exist.

A perfect storm of significant investment in transitioning from Far Eastern to British manufacturing, declining consumer confidence and Brexit uncertainty has proved too much for the company.

In a statement the company said:
We have worked tirelessly to establish ourselves in the global marketplace since launching in 2012 and have been incredibly proud to offer fellow music aficionados the myriad benefits of British designed and engineered products, following our commitment to UK manufacturing in late 2018."

It continued, “Tragically, we have been unable to reach sufficient global distribution fast enough to recoup our considerable investment in UK production and sustain our overheads. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for being with us over the past few years.”

AVForums’s thoughts are with those that have been directly impacted by this unfortunate development.
