Mitchell & Brown TVs make successful UK launch
A new, British brand is on the scene in the UK TV market, going by the name Mitchell & Brown.
Available exclusively from TVD Group (originally known as TV and Video Direct), Mitchell & Brown LED televisions are manufactured in Europe and offer screen sizes ranging from 24-inch through to 65-inch. Currently four model ranges feature T2 Freeview HD, Smart, 4K Ultra-High Definition and Freeview Play variants with all models including an unusually generous 7-Year Warranty (parts & labour).
By the looks of the Smart TV system, at least some of the TVs look to be Vestel manufactured, as per the likes of Finlux, Hitachi, Goodmans and certain budget Toshibas and Panasonics.
Founded by Jim Brown the company prides itself on a reputation for being extremely customer-service focused and is now operated by Jim Brown’s two sons, Mat and Dan Brown. Mitchell & Brown is a tribute, by Mat and Dan Brown, to their late father. Mitchell is the maiden name of Jim Brown’s mother and all models in the Mitchell & Brown range bear the initials of their father, ‘JB’ and his birthday ‘1811’.
With more than fifty independent retailers already appointed as resellers across the United Kingdom, uptake for this new television brand has already been greater than anticipated.
“The Mitchell & Brown ranges of televisions offer independent retailers a strong value alternative and if I am honest we are a little overwhelmed by the high-sales volumes. During eighteen months of development we listened to our customers and our customer’s customers and produced a strong, well appointed line-up of LED televisions ranging from 24-inch screens through to 65-inch screens. Our aim is to continue our development in this manner ”, says Mat Brown.
Mitchell & Brown also recently became the first ever ‘back of shirt’ sponsor for Bolton Wanderers Football Club, with both Mitchell & Brown’s founder and current directors, all staunch Bolton Wanderers fans.
Wanderer's Commercial Manager, John Ashley comments, "It is great to have a successful local business exploring the potential here at Bolton Wanderers Football Club and we look forward to continuing our long-held relationship with Mitchell & Brown. Mat and Dan, have staunchly supported the club for many years, and Mat is also a trustee of the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust helping to deliver valuable community projects around the town.”
