Marantz launch sleek NR1607 AV receiver

All this in a chassis just over 10cm hgh

  • Marantz has announced a new addition to their new 2016 home theatre line-up, the NR1607, the latest in their line of slim design AV Receivers.
    It’s built for design- and space-conscious enthusiasts that don’t want to compromise on performance. It sports the latest AV tech, paired with advanced wireless connectivity, ease-of-use and energy-conscious performance.

    The NR1607 features high current discrete power transistors on all 7 channels in a cabinet just a little over 10cm high. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with dual antennas and dual band for robust connection let you stream your music via AirPlay or Spotify Connect, from 10,000 of Internet Radio stations or from local network storage drives – all the way through to high resolution audio.

    The NR1607 comes with Dolby Atmos immersive surround decoding and a future firmware update will also allow the NR1607 to decode DTS:X soundtracks.

    The video section supports 4K Ultra HD high resolution video, along with the latest HDMI specification including 4K 50/60Hz pass-through and HDCP 2.2 compatibility that is required for 4K copy-protected content. It also features HDR (High Dynamic Range) and Wide Colour Gamut compatibility. There are 8 HDMI inputs including 1 located on the front panel, all of which support HDCP 2.2 compatibility.

    Set-up should be easy with the help of the Setup Assistant and Audyssey MultEQ room calibration – so there is no need to study the manual, you can just follow the on-screen instructions. There’s also a new Marantz 2016 AVR Remote App available for Android and iOS .

    The new Marantz NR1607 will be available in June in black or silver-gold colour finish.
