Lypertek announces PurePlay Z7 TWS earphones

The Lypertek Z7 is the flagship model of the PurePlay TWS earphone range and brings with it new hybrid driver technology, an updated design and improved audio features.

The Chinese earphone manufacturer underwent a rebranding exercise at the end of last year to give some of its headsets more descriptive names. As a result, the popular TEVI became the PurePlay Z3 and it’s this PurePlay range which sees the Z7 join as a new flagship model.

For the first time in its range of true wireless earphones, Lypertek has introduced a triple hybrid driver which sees two specially designed balanced armature drivers and one titanium coated dynamic driver in each housing.

The balanced armature drivers have been redesigned to remove the nozzle element thus reducing the size yet still retaining optimal performance and efficiency within the small housings. Meanwhile, the dynamic driver uses a Mylar film with the addition of a high purity PPF titanium coating.

This new driver array has been expertly tuned by Lypertek's engineers to deliver the dynamic range needed for the Z7’s controlled bass, clear midrange and expansive highs.

Accompanying the PurePlay Z7 is the newly developed PureControl app allowing control over the listening experience with a choice of EQ and a number of presets. In addition, users will be able to activate the ambient sound mode, customise button controls and upgrade firmware. The ‘Find My Earbud’ feature will also prevent owners from losing their earphones.

Hands-on control via the tactile multi-purpose button allows control over media playback, phone calls, ambient sound mode and voice assistants.

Connectivity comes courtesy of Qualcomm’s QC3040 chipset which delivers Bluetooth 5.2 as well as AAC and aptX Adaptive audio codecs plus TrueWireless Mirroring for enhanced connectivity, all while providing high performance with ultra low power usage.

Fast charging boosts playback time for two hours in just 15 minutes if you are in a hurry and there’s an optional wireless charging pad available.

There’s quality voice calling with cVc 8.0 (Clear Voice Capture) audio technology and ambient sound mode let’s users hear what is going on in the environment.

The Lypertek PurePlay Z7 will be available from Lypertek, Amazon (UK/US/EU) and other selected retailers from the beginning of June 2021 (date TBC), priced at £199/$199/€199.
