Lucasfilm release Star Wars: The Last Jedi BTS Video
It's only five months until Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi arrives on our screens and the count down has begun.
At Disney's D23 convention this weekend, Lucasfilm released a behind-the-scenes video for The Last Jedi and whilst it doesn't give much away, it certainly looks interesting. No doubt designed in part to deflect attention away from the negative press generated by the firing of Phil Lord and Chris Miller from the Han Solo movie, the new video goes at lengths to stress how Episode VIII is writer/director Ryan Johnson's film.

The video certainly helped to rejuvenate what has become a slightly tarnished brand over the last few weeks as stories emerged of interference from Kathleen Kennedy and Lawrence Kasdan in the production of the Han Solo film. The continuation of the main Star Wars saga is clearly Disney's imperative and we got a chance to see more footage from the new film and our first look at new characters played by Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro. We also get to see more of the late Carrie Fisher, which is always a treat.

Take a look for yourself and don't worry, the BTS video doesn't contain any real spoilers:

Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi opens in UK cinemas on the 14th of December.
