L-Acoustics Creations launches new multichannel Archipel Sound Systems

Live sound technology comes to the home

by Andy Bassett

L-Acoustics Creations has added the new multichannel Fiji, Hawaii and Tonga home cinema systems to its Archipel Sound System range.

French firm L-Acoustics has been an influence on live sound speaker technology since the 1990s and has powered live experiences from the Hammersmith Apollo and the Hollywood Bowl to artist residencies in Las Vegas. Now its  L-Acoustics Creations division is adding to the Archipel Sound System range with the Fiji 5.1, Hawaii 5.1, and Tonga 7.1 home cinema systems which have been launched alongside their original 2.1 incarnations.

The same technology found in live event venues around the world now comes to consumer homes courtesy of the Archipel range which was launched in 2020 and includes a mix of desktop, lounge, media room, home cinema and versatile indoor-outdoor setups for entertainment. Since the technology is based on the company’s exclusive live sonic signature, listeners are treated to a ‘front row’ audio experience.

Added to the Tahiti and Ibiza series, the Fiji, Hawaii and Tonga options bring new choice for the consumer with regards to space options or usage scenarios.

Guillaume Le Nost, Managing Director, Creative Technologies, L-Acoustics stated, “Consumer focus has shifted to the home, and to high end home audio as artists create a growing library of live streaming content.

We’ve put three decades of professional audio experience into creating packages that transform musical content into an experience that satisfies the most demanding music lover. In designing Archipel, we wanted a best-of-both-worlds marriage of pro audio and high end sound.
