Klipsch R5 Wireless Earphones Now on Sale
Tight or relaxed - the fit is your choice.
Hi-Fi NewsThe US speaker manufacturer's newly launched R5 Wireless earphones feature IPX4 weatherproofing and 8-hour battery life and are now available in the UK for those with an active lifestyle. In order to make the R5 earphones stand out in an increasingly crowded market, which sees wireless headphones for active types arrive almost every week, Klipsch has made a design choice to keep as much of the electronics as possible away from the earbuds and place them in-line, on the cable. This results in smaller, neater tips which fit perfectly into the wearer’s ear canals. To help set the buds within the ear and create a stable, activity-resistant fitting, the R5 Wireless uses Klipsch’s patented oval ear tips. These soft oval silicon tips reduce ear fatigue and provide a seal to improve noise isolation and bass response. In addition to these tips, there is a choice of a pair of Comply Ts-100 Comfort memory-foam tips or universal fit ear wings, so the R5 Wireless headphone is sure to stay in your ears regardless of your activity.
The wearer can also use the included cable clips to adjust the length of the cable to create a looser or tighter fit depending upon how active the user is.
Sporting 5mm dynamic drivers, the R5 Wireless earphones are Bluetooth 4.2 enabled and work with aptX and AAC codecs so the delay during video playback is very much reduced. The headphones also support multi-point pairing, so you can pair two devices at once should you and your running partner want to share playlists.
Rated at IPX4, the R5 Wireless is designed to resist moisture, rain and sweat, while its single lithium-ion battery is good for up to eight hours of listening to music and taking calls. Those calls benefit from the integrated cVc microphone which automatically enhances voice clarity and actively reduces environmental noise. The R5 Wireless’s three-button remote offers full control of most smartphones, including Android and Apple devices, for control of music and phone calls. Double tapping the multifunction button enables the use of your phone’s voice assistant on the fly.
The R5 earphones are priced at £100 and available in a sleek black finish from Henley Audio now.
