Klipsch launches Heritage Groove Bluetooth speaker

Proove it! Groove it!

SRP: £175.00

Part of the US speaker company’s ‘Heritage Inspired’ wireless speaker line up which also includes The One II and The Three II, the Groove is a portable Bluetooth-enabled speaker created to match the eye-catching design and build with a powerful sound.

Even before a note of music has been played through the device, the design instantly transports you back to the heyday of material bound transistor radios from the middle of last century. As well as the boxy shape befitting an electronic device from that era, the real wood veneer and tactile spun switches and knobs evoke the sort of device that company founder Paul Klipsch may well have worked on when he set up the firm.

The compact chassis (127mm x 152mm x 197mm - HxWxD) and relatively light weight of 1kg, ensure portability, meaning this is a pick up and go speaker designed to be used away from the home and the integrated, rechargeable lithium battery enables up to eight hours of mains-free use for car journeys, picnics or walks in the park. And when it comes time to boost the battery levels, charging can be performed by either the mains adaptor or a micro USB cable.

Of course, the days-gone-by-look has to be matched by a modern sound and with the 3” (80mm) aluminium full-range high excursion driver complemented by two side-firing passive bass radiators, and advanced DSP equalization, Klipsch claims the Heritage Groove provides lifelike, dynamic sound at any volume level.

As a Bluetooth enabled device, the Groove will pair and stream audio from smart phones, tablets and laptops but it also features a 3.5mm analogue input for wired connection of devices too.

Also included is a built-in microphone to allow hands-free talking should you be accepting calls while out on your day trip.

Finally, the soon to be released Klipsch Connect app lets you check the battery level, install firmware upgrades, and tweak EQ settings.
