It seems just about every manufacturer has a wire-free audio solution these days and Swiss manufacturers Geneva have been at it for a few years now.
Their latest, the 'Model M Wireless' is sold on the back of its all-in-one credentials being as it features a FM/DAB+ Radio as well as Bluetooth streaming capabilities. In truth, 'all-in-one' is probably stretching the truth somewhat but with so many people using their phone or tablet to stream music, it should certainly satisfy many people's needs.
Is it really an 'all-in-one' system?
All the Geneva products we've handled have certainly felt extremely well-built and the Model M Wireless looks to be no exception. It features a real-wood cabinet, available in piano gloss red, white, or black and premium walnut finish, that houses a fully discrete stereo system of tweeter/woofer pairs that are individually chambered and driven by four class A/B amplifiers.
Geneva says the device is 'optimised by faster processing' and the care taken with the circuit design results in a wider, cleaner sound, elevating it above the performance of its predecessor.
The Model M Wireless is set for release in December 2013 at a basic price of £499. The Walnut finish will cost a little more at £549 and there will be an optional floor stand available for £189.
