Fyne Audio unveils its first home install loudspeaker line up

Fyne Audio has wasted no time since its inception in 2017 in creating a full line up of speakers including its F3 subwoofers, plus F300 (including the F301), F500, F700 and F1 series of standmount, floorstanding and centre speakers.

Now it has created its first residential install loudspeakers consisting of five models from two of their ranges.

Drawing from the F300 and F500 series, the entry level FA300iC and the premium level FA500iC home install ranges use the technology and tuning already established in these award winning cabinet speakers.

FA300iC series
The FA300iC speakers are affordable and easy to install and consist of the compact FA301iC (6-inch) and the more powerful FA302iC (8-inch) models which both use the F300’s multi-fibre bass / midrange cone terminated with Fyne’s signature FyneFlute roll surround for improved LF performance. The 25mm polyester dome tweeter found in the regular F300 cabinet loudspeakers is mounted on an adjustable pod, which offers up to 20 degrees of tilt to best direct the on-axis response to the key listening position. The compact installation footprint is helped by a coaxial arrangement.
The FA300iC models boast high power handling and high efficiency; 100W @ 89dB/W and 120W @ 90dB/W for the 6” and 8” models respectively. Both are supplied with round low profile magnetic grilles that are fully paintable to match the home décor. Each grille is supplied with a scrim cloth to further conceal the drivers and a square grille is offered as an optional extra on both models.

FA500iC series
The FA500iC series offers the 6-inch FA501iC and 8-inch FA502iC models, plus an 8-inch version, FA502iC LCR, which has the driver set at 15 degrees to the mounting surface for off-axis installation, such as home theatre.

According to Fyne, the premium FA500iC series delivers a musical imaging performance advantage over competitors by using the F500 IsoFlare drivers which positions the tweeter at the heart of the bass driver to gain the articulation benefits of true point source driver technology.

By combining the IsoFlare technology and high frequency driver sophistication of the F500 series with a crossover tuned to get the very best from a flush-mount infinite baffle position, Fyne claims the FA500iC series brings true audiophile sound quality to the home install market.
Equally suitable for positioning in-ceiling or in-wall thanks to shallow mounting depths and easy to install clamps, all models offer sprung binding post terminals for ease of installation. The FA501iC and FA502iC are supplied with both round and square, low profile magnetic-mounted paintable grilles, while the FA502iC LCR is supplied with round only.

Power handling up to 150W and 91dB efficiency enables the FA500iC series to offer similar dynamics and musical performance of traditional cabinet loudspeakers and therefore integrate seamlessly into multi-channel systems which also use the F500 series models.

The FA300iC and FA500iC series are supplied complete with cut-out template, scrim backed grilles and simple dog leg clamps to secure into plasterboard wall and ceilings which all ensure home install audio has never been simpler.

All five speaker models will be available at all Fyne Audio dealers from January 2020
