First Behind the Scenes Footage of SPECTRE
Principal photography has started on SPECTRE, the highly anticipated follow-up to the smash hit Skyfall.
Since the title of the new film was announced, there has been speculation that director Sam Mendes wants to move the franchise back to a more traditional style of James Bond movie. He's certainly be suggesting that in interviews and there was evidence to support this in leaked emails from the Sony hack. The first behind the scenes footage, taken from location shooting in Austria, would certainly back this up. In fact the sight of mountains, snow and ski-mobiles brings back memories of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which is no bad thing.

SPECTRE

Despite the criticism levelled at George Lazenby, OHMSS is easily one of the best films in the franchise that closely followed the book and delivered first class action and some genuine emotional weight to the character of Bond. It's no coincidence that Christopher Nolan used OHMSS as the basis for a major sequence in Inception and if Mendes is also using OHMSS as an inspiration then we think that's great news. SPECTRE certainly has a great cast and crew and if the rumours of Blofeld's return are true then the 23rd of October can't come around soon enough.
The first behind the scenes footage has an OHMSS look to it and we think that's good news.
