Facebook announces new Paper app for iOS
Facebook is launching a new app that presents stories of interest to you in a glossy magazine style.
The Paper app will initially launch on iOS devices and will you to create your very own daily news round-up from stories and features from around Facebook.

It will be made of stories and themed sections, so you can follow your favourite interests. The first section in Paper is your Facebook News Feed, where there will be new snazzy designs for photos, videos, and longer written posts.

You can also customise Paper with a choice of more than a dozen other sections about various themes and topics— clearly technology and home cinema should be of interest to our readers, for example.

Each section will include a mix of content from “emerging voices and well-known publications,” according to Facebook.
First effort from Facebook Creative Labs looks good!

The Paper app also introduces some neat viewing tricks where everything responds to your touch, so you can, for example, tilt your phone to explore high-resolution panoramic photos from corner to corner, and see faces and other important details up close.

Articles will also ‘unfold’ in the app and appear fullscreen for a better reading experience and when you're ready to share your own stories, you will get a live preview so you know how it will look to the rest of the World

Paper is the first product from Facebook Creative Labs and will be available for the iPhone in the US on February 3rd.

You can watch a video of it in action below – looks pretty neat!
