Denon launches DHT-S517 Dolby Atmos soundbar
MSRP: £379.00

Denon’s latest soundbar is the 3.1.2 channel DHT-S517 which supports Dolby Atmos and comes with a wireless subwoofer.

As the real estate for decent TV speakers diminishes with new models getting thinner and thinner, the DHT-S517 soundbar and wireless subwoofer system is precision engineered and tuned to address that by turning any TV into a home entertainment centre with a cinematically immersive audio experience.

Utilising a 7-driver array which is comprised of left/right channel tweeters and midrange drivers, a dedicated centre-channel, plus two up-firing speakers, the DHT-S517 combines with its wireless subwoofer to deliver a lifelike Dolby Atmos listening experience that includes an expansive soundstage, clear dialogue, and powerful bass, perfect for the latest music, movies and games.

Able to get the best out of any modern TV and its connected devices via the HDMI Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), the Denon DHT-S517 also has an extra 4K UHD HDMI input to connect HDMI sources to the soundbar directly. Additionally, it can also work with older TVs which lack HDMI ports by using the digital optical input instead.

When the movie is over and it’s time for some relaxing music, Bluetooth connectivity allows streaming of favourite tracks to the DHT-S517 from compatible smart / mobile devices which can benefit from the extra depth and clarity afforded by the soundbar.

For those that may struggle with the the intelligibility of spoken content, Denon’s Dialogue Enhancer on the DHT-S517 improves the clarity of dialogue with three available modes and a dedicated level control for dialogue that is independent of overall system volume.

Moreover, the S517 offers a range of sound modes for specific occasions, including Movie Mode, Music Mode and Night Mode. Meanwhile Pure Mode eliminates all surround processing and delivers the purest music listening experience possible for audio enthusiasts.

Denon President, Trip Randall stated, “With our newest Denon sound bar, you’ll immediately boost your home theatre experience to upgraded 3D sound and will find your viewing experience makes exponential leaps forward for the better.”

The Denon DHT-S517 sound bar with wireless subwoofer system comes with HDMI and optical cables and will be available at the end of January 2022, direct from Denon’s website or through authorised Denon retailers across Europe for an MSRP of £379 (€399 / US pricing TBC).
