Cyrus Audio joins BluOS Audio Ecosystem

Shades of Blu

British Hi-Fi brand Cyrus Audio has announced it will now be part of the BluOS High Resolution multi room audio ecosystem.

Cyrus Audio, the well respected British-based high-end audio manufacturer has entered into a global agreement with BluOS developer and owner Lenbrook International to bring the BluOS streaming platform into upcoming Cyrus Audio products.

BluOS is a premium multi-room audio ecosystem that manages stored and cloud music sources and playback, with support for high-resolution audio streams up to 24/192. It’s found in a number of top end audio products including those from NAD and Bluesound and since it is ‘brand agnostic’ it can communicate with any other BluOS enabled product connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Found in products that range from amplifiers through to powered speakers, BluOS also features integrations with popular streaming music services like Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, and Deezer and has support for FLAC, WAV, MQA, and other high resolution formats and codecs. Control of the platform is easy via applications for smart phones, tablets, and PC desktops.

As the PR states, the two companies share much common ground in their values and goals and determined that a partnership would benefit both parties. Acknowledging the complex challenges inherent in modern music streaming, not least the constantly updated features and services, Cyrus Audio Managing Director Nicholas Clarke commented, “We realised that being part of a well-established and class-leading ecosystem provided the best option for both our customers and dealers to minimise this complexity.

Our team is naturally excited as we go forward, planning the latest expansion of the Cyrus Audio product range.”

Gordon Simmonds, CEO of Lenbrook International, explained, “Our goal with BluOS continues to be being highly selective about the brands we add to the platform since it is so important that the shared ecosystem model be represented by totally like-minded and committed partners.”

About the deal with Cyrus, Simmonds added, “Cyrus Audio is one of those well aligned brands that the Lenbrook team has long admired. We’re pleased they have come on board to share our BluOS high res music vision again reaffirming the significant investment we continue to make into this platform.”
