  • British digital audio and amplification expert, Chord Electronics, will be demonstrating their advanced digital filter technology at The Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2019.
    The Kent-based company will be introducing the recently launched Hugo M Scaler standalone upscaler, Hugo TT 2 DAC/preamp and the partnering TToby stereo power amp from 22nd - 24th Feb at the show.

    The Hugo M Scaler is an advanced upscaler based around based around Chord’s proprietary digital coding embedded on a sophisticated FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) chipset. This enables the Hugo M Scaler to upscale standard 44.1kHz digital audio up to 705.6kHz, that’s 16x CD’s 44.1kHz native resolution. The upscaling performance rises to 768kHz (from 96kHz input data) when used with Chord Electronics’ dual-BNC-input DACs, DAVE, Qutest and the Hugo TT 2.

    Joining the company in their primary exhibition space will be Bowers & Wilkins, who will demonstrate their 805D3 loudspeakers in tandem with Chord’s devices for a ‘Best of British’ demonstration.

    In addition to the main demonstration suite, the company will have a secondary site where music lovers can audition the multi-award-winning, Mojo and Poly. Poly, the world’s first truly high-resolution, wireless, portable streamer will have its recently available set-up and configuration app, Gofigure, installed on a number of devices for show-goers to discover. Gofigure is available for Android and iOS devices.

    The Chord Electronics’ factory team will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice.
