  • Bowers and Wilkins will use the 2019 Bristol Hi-Fi Show to demo its sixth generation of speakers - the 600 Series.
Touted as the largest and longest-running consumer Hi-Fi show in the UK and now officially renamed as The Bristol Hi-Fi Show, this year’s exhibition takes place from 22nd - 24th Feb 2019 and will afford Hi-Fi and AV enthusiasts the opportunity to pop into one of two demo rooms set aside specifically for Bower and Wilkins.

In the first, visitors will be able to get first hand experience of the B&W 606 and 607 stand-mounted, and the 603 floor standing speakers. In addition, each of the new 600 Series speakers will also be available for demo in direct comparison with their preceding models, allowing listeners to judge for themselves the benefits of Bowers & Wilkins drive unit technologies in an affordable new range.

Here, the 600 series benefits from the technology created for its more premium cousins and among these technologies is the Continuum cone technology which was developed over an eight-year period and first featured in the 800 Series Diamond models. The Continuum cone creates layered sound in the midrange which the human ear is naturally tuned into.

There will also be an opportunity to experience how the company’s ‘True Sound’ philosophy has been implemented for TVs via the Philips OLED+903 multi-award-winning set. Created in close partnership with Philips and recently given an AVForums Highly Recommended award and an AVForums Editor’s Choice Award For Best Picture Processing, it features a Bowers & Wilkins designed and manufactured 2.1 sound system and really does demonstrate what’s possible with TV sound.

Visitors to the second demo room will be able to hear a very special 600 Series based 7.2 multi-channel system, configured by Bowers & Wilkins for the Bristol Show.

The system will feature six 603 floor-standing speakers, the HTM6 dedicated centre channel speaker and two DB4S subwoofers – all combining to ensure a real not-to-be-missed audio experience.

The 600 Series is available now, check local retailers for prices.
