  • Following their decision to pull the BBM app from the Apple App store and its seeming discontinuation on Android, Blackberry has confirmed it will be back later today on both platforms.
In the next few hours, people will start seeing BBM in Google Play, the App Store and in select Samsung App Stores – where it will be free to download.

To cater for the expected rush of downloads, Blackberry is employing a queueing system to ensure the smoothest possible roll-out.

To get yourself in on the deal, you'll (of course) first need to downlaod the relevant app - the quickest and easiest way is from BBM.com - and then register your email address. Once you've done that, it';s then a case of waiting for Blackberry to email you confirmation that you're good to go.
good news for those already registered -you aren't waiting for the virtual postman
The good news for those that already registered interest at BBM.com, is that you aren't waiting for the virtual postman and the app should be available to use immediately.
