It’s a case of wireless charging

  • Bang & Olufsen have updated their Beoplay E8 truly wireless headphones and slapped a 2.0 at the end. So what does the Beoplay E8 2.0 now offer?

Put simply, there are small but useful enhancements which revolve mainly around the charging options for the earphones. Key here is the addition of a new wireless charging case that also features USB-C and which can now fully charge the earphones up to three times for up to 16 hours total playback (up from 12 hours previously). It’s unclear if the earphones themselves have been tweaked in any way though and they will be available in Black, Indigo Blue, Natural and Limestone. There is, however, one certain addition confirmed and that is the extra $50 to the asking price bumping the cost of their purchase from $299 to $350.

Availability will be from 14th Feb 2019 and the good news is that the charging case will be available separately for owners of the first generation E8s at a cost of $200. There will also be a premium style (brushed aluminum and cowhide leather) charging pad with support for up to 10W wireless fast charging for extra convenience should you feel the wireless case is not flexible or stylish enough. Availability for this comes in April.
