Bang & Olufsen’s Beoplay EQ earbuds are the company’s first true wireless earphones with Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation.

Bringing together B&O’s signature sound and design properties, the Beoplay EQ feature beamforming based call-quality and a comfortable wearing experience alongside the ambient noise eliminating ANC.

Each earbud contains a 6.8mm electro-dynamic driver which has been finely tuned by the Bang & Olufsen sound engineers to cover a 20 - 20kHz frequency range. Connection is via Bluetooth 5.2 and aptX adaptive is supported. Plus, there’s a simple set up process with the included Microsoft Swift Pair and Made for iPhone licenses and the Beoplay EQ will remember the last eight paired devices, though will only connect to one at a time.

The Beoplay EQ’s noise cancelling is achieved through a combination of passive sealing - aided by interchangeable eartips - and a dedicated ANC DSP (digital signal processing) chip which uses four microphones to monitor ambient noise and then automatically adjust the ANC levels for the optimum experience.

An additional two microphones with retune noise reduction technology are dedicated to achieving the highest quality call-quality through the implementation of directional beamforming technology.

Listeners will be treated to a total of up to 20 hours of playback, even with the ANC turned on. This includes 6.5 hours from the earbuds themselves and an additional 13.5 hours from the aluminium charging case. The case itself can be fully charged using USB-C, which takes 1 hour and 40 mins or by fast wireless charging which takes just 10 minutes longer. Once charged, the case can give a 2 hour boost to the earbuds in 20 mins or a full recharge in 1.5 hours.

With IP54 dust, sweat and water resistance, the Beoplay EQ can be used in a variety of circumstances, including during workouts, and the ergonomic design ensures comfort during long-term wear.
