AVG Launch 2019 Free and Premium Downloads
AVG have released their latest free and premium flagship, consumer security software. The latest versions feature enhanced artificial intelligence based phishing protection, privacy protection, and ensure zero interruptions when using full screen mode.
    Improved Threat Detections

Using Artificial Intelligence (AI), the company claims that its new software ensures enhanced detection of phishing websites by automatically checking a site's URL for suspicious tokens, domain meta information, and inspecting the visual aspects of sites.

    Do Not Disturb Mode

The new Do Not Disturb Mode silences alerts, including those from third-party applications such as Windows, email, chat and browser notifications while users run applications in full screen. Do Not Disturb Mode is a free feature and prevents applications from distracting or embarrassing users while gaming or presenting.

    Sensitive Data Shield

‘Sensitive Data Shield’ is a feature, that AVG claims will protect premium customers with an additional safety net. According to the company, the feature identifies sensitive files, such as tax files, health records, and travel documents, and gives users the option to “shield” and protect access to these files. This way, unauthorized third parties and programs, such as malware, are unable to read or alter the files.

    Improved Smart Scan

AVG's Smart Scan feature combines scans for viruses, software updates, network problems, and performance issues into one concentrated scan. They state that this allows free and premium users to check for a range of issues with just one click and the process has been optimized to scan and identify any problems with the PC, twice as quickly as before.

    Enhanced network security

AVG's Wi-Fi Inspector feature scans routers, PCs and mobiles as well as IoT devices connected to user's networks. According to AVG, it provides solutions on how to fix issues found and has been enhanced for improved device identification and more thorough detection of security vulnerabilities and similar weaknesses. The feature displays devices found on the network in a detailed map, making it easier for people to navigate and control the devices connected to their local network.

All AVG 2019 products include real-time protection from viruses, spyware, ransomware, rootkits, Trojans and other malware. The company states that this protects users from unsafe links, downloads and email attachments, as well as from dangerous websites, links and downloads.

AVG Internet Security costs £59.99 and offers users an extra layer of Ransomware Protection. This should keep them safe from more advanced ransomware and from spies, with WebCam Protection. Also included in the AVG Internet Security version is; Hacker Protection, Private Data Protection and Payment Protection as well as Secure DNS, which AVG claims ensures a user is not redirected to fake websites when performing sensitive actions online, like shopping or banking.
