Guy Ritchie's The Covenant Movie Review
by Cas Harlow
Not just one of the best Guy Ritchie films, but one of the most tense, well-drawn military survival action thrillers of late, following in the vein of Black Hawk Down, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, and Lone Survivor.

Supercell Movie Review
by Cas Harlow
A bad title, poster and general mismarketing will likely leave this still middling, unremarkable, indie drama suffering irredeemably from comparisons to flicks like Twister.

Devil in a Blue Dress 4K Blu-ray Review
by Cas Harlow
Carl Franklin's 1995 adaptation of Walter Mosley's defining debut novel, introducing the iconic character of Easy Rawlins, is a fabulous little neo-noir with Denzel Washington, Don Cheadle and Tom Sizemore on electric form, available on Criterion 4K but still only via US import.
Rodriguez's Hypnotic is every bit as nonsensical as you may have already heard, proving a real trudge to get through, possibly made better by the fact that it's often unintentionally hilarious. And Affleck? Did you learn nothing from John Woo's Paycheck?
Martin Scorsese has Peter Medak’s classic haunter at number six on his list of all time top horror films. And he knows a thing or two about film does our Marty. Second Sight now bring us George C Scott’s masterful chiller on two new 4K editions and while maybe not the home run several of their previous horror classics have been this year, it's still a worthwhile addition to any horror fan's collection.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania 4K Blu-ray Review
by Simon Crust
Is Small Beautiful? Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania might pursuade you. But another Disney disc that has better presentation on its streaming service might not.
Bad Neighbours co-stars Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen reunite for an initially awkward but surprisingly chemistry-fuelled comedy about old best friends who rekindle their... friendship.
A handsome but flimsy western disguised as a war movie (or vice versa) which hits some enjoyably cartoonish grotesquery in its peaks but flounders when it comes to sustaining tension, delivering an uneven but not totally unrewarding bit of Nazi-smashing action.
Arnie's Back! In an action-comedy about a spy whose family doesn't know he's a spy. Which is definitely nothing like True Lies, which he was also in, and which also transitioned to TV recently, without him, but is completely unrelated.
Everything you could possibly want from a grungy grindhouse mash-up of John Wick and Overlord, Sisu sees a retired 'nobody' unwillingly drawn back into slaughtering a whole bunch of Nazis, and it's bloody good entertainment.
Star Wars' current hottest property returns for a third year with barely thirty minutes of an opening salvo, but damn it's nice to have Mando back - UPDATED FOR FULL SEASON
Enjoying a valiant attempt at the rat-a-tat wordspeak of Aaron Sorkin's The West Wing crossed with the more glossy entertainment factor of Designated Survivor, Netflix's latest political drama is at least worth a shot - UPDATED FOR FULL SEASON
This year’s meme given cinematic life proves to be both better and worse than any sort of expectations one may have coming to a film named ‘Cocaine Bear’. And yes, there will be expectations. The 4K UHD disc from Mediumrare however, a 4K exclusive to the UK, disappoints with a baffling audio track selection and nothing to justify its significant price hike over equally specced digital versions.
Russell Crowe's maverick plays-by-his-own-rules, liquor-drinking, Mario-and-Luigi-dialogue-coached priest undoubtedly shoves this gonzo exorcism romp more firmly into the so-bad-it's-good camp.
We come around from a drug induced stupor to view Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas only to find mesmerising picture and sound, in another delightful package from Arrow.
Kiefer Sutherland's back in spy-action-thriller mode, sort-of, turning in an intriguing pilot episode that will hopefully make for a solid 8-episode first season of glossy twisty thrills. UPDATED - FULL SEASON REVIEW.
