The co-axial socket on TV's is internally connected to a tuner , either analog for analog TV broadcasts or digital for DVB-T broadcasts , there will be no circuitry inside the TV to decode and and show content on a cable service. So no adaptor exists that will solve your problem.

Cable TV services are normally supplied with a set top box , which decodes the channels on the line and presents them to the TV. This box will connect to the TV by other means , either HDMI , scart , or whatever.
The Correct Set top box or Decoder box will be required for whatever cable service is in operation there.

The other issue with the phillipines is that they use type A or B mains plugs with a 220v supply , those A and B plugs are not rated for that voltage , so any TV you send over from the UK will have to have its mains plug changed , and will be a fire hazard if type A or B plugs ( American ) are used with the unit.

Hi Andy , I have searched the forum here looking for an answer to my problem , I have not found it but You seem to be the font of all TV related knowledge. Can you help me with this problem which to me is major but maybe not to you. I want to send a TV to my friend in Philippines, he can only get cable TV as there is no Terrestrial TV reception there. can I get an adapter to enable the TV ( which has Co-axial socket) to receive Cable TV which is the Sky type of screw in plug. I have seen some maybe adapters in the internet but I am not sure of the correct way to go ahead. Any help will be much appreciated
