This looks like good old Wii fun.

Combining ten sporting events into one addicting and fun-filled game, Deca Sports offers an immersive experience for fans of any age. The sporting events: Beach Volleyball, Snowboard Cross, Badminton, Basketball, Curling, Figure Skating, Archery, Supercross, Soccer and Kart Racing.

Each sport in the game uses the Wii Remote in unique yet accessible ways. With a subtle swing of the Wii Remote players can hit and spike the ball in Beach Volleyball, while twists of the wrist produce a wild ride down the slopes in Snowboard Cross. In Figure Skating players need to keep to the music and properly time all of their jumps and spins in order to impress the judges while passing the ball and lining up shots is essential in Soccer. All ten sports support both single player and multiplayer modes, in addition to a training mode to practice essential skills. The wide range of events and modes make Deca Sports the perfect game for players and sports fans of all ages.

Now all i hope is they nail the controls and this could be a killer title.

It doesn't look too bad at all, like you said if they get the controls right and it has enough depth to be replayable it could be a nice little sports compilation.

Cant find a release date at all for it though :(

I think Deca Sports is the name for the US release only(with the Jap version being similarly named Deca Sporta). I remember reading there was going to be a different title for the Euro release, hang on........

..back again, here we go http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2008/01/03/deca-sporta-gets-sorta-new-name-for-north-america/

Hudson's decathlon-themed, Adidastic minigame collection, Deca Sporta, was recently announced for Europe with the totally personality-free title of Sports Island. We were surprised, then, and pleased to hear that (most of) the original title will be used for the American release of the game, Deca Sports.

Might explain why you couldn't find it to preorder.

Sounds like its being made by a division of Hudson Soft, so i'm hoping it will be a decent title, not just a half baked, cash-in.

I think we're in need of a good quality 'Wii Sports' part two to be honest, and with ten different games and well implemented controls this could be ace :)

That actually looks really good. All you really need to find is 3 mini-games that are fantastic to make it as good as Wii Sports :smashin:.

With the amount on offer, I'm hoping you're bound to find more. :)

Got the Jap version of this yesterday, and it is quite good imo. Prefer a lot of the events to the ones in M&S.
