Looking to replace my Aegis floorstanders, rears, etc. at the moment with something that is wall mountable and childproof! Want speakers that are smallish, but still with a decent power output. Wife suggested Bose, but I don't really want to go the Acoustimass route as I don't rate them. Budget is around the £500 mark.

Can't go wrong with Mordaunt-shorts

Agree with the above. If you can stretch the budget, the Aego T's are worth the extra (and are vastly superior to any of the Bose offerings I've heard)

Thanks for the input thus far. I was looking at the Mission cubes this morning, but for some reason, the missus has sold herself on the Bose AM6 (she and her ex had the AM5 at one point and liked it!), whereas I can't understand how she can claim the cubes are ugly when they're basically the same look as the Bose!

I like the look of the Aego T's and I could use the existing Aegis Centre speaker too. I have a second Aegis Centre speaker, so could that be used to give me 6.1 with the Aego T's?
