What connections should I use for what device?

The following are all types of connections that may be found on your LCD:

HDMI carries a digital video and audio signal
It is capable of carrying a High Definition signal

DVI carries a digital video signal
It is capable of carrying a High Definition signal

COMPONENT RCA Jacks carries an analogue video signal
It is capable of carrying a High Definition signal
- Red connector carries the red signal
- Green connector carries the green signal
- Blue connector carries the blue signal

SCART can carry the following signals
- RGB analogue video signal with stereo audio
- Composite analogue video signal with stereo audio
- S-Video analogue video signal

S-VIDEO carries analogue video only

COMPOSITE RCA Jacks
- Yellow connector carries an analogue video signal
- Red and white connectors carry the stereo audio

Q. Are you a DIV when it comes to all the DVI connectors? Yeah sure they all look the same to me, but as a matter of fact, they are all very diffrent? HOW?

A. All the DVI connectors are capable of transmitting both Analouge and digital signals. The certain Pins on the connectors represent weather it is capable of transmitting the analouge or digital (or both) signal.. You can find out exaticaly what each one is/does below..
