Post all your recollections and classic gaming moments of this awesome game here, it was and still is one of the best games ever made, relive those memories within this thread.

Anyone wishing to submit a review for this game please do so, i'd be glad to link to it at some future stage, everyone else post those stories of gaming heaven Cannon fodder related of course.

Ideas for posting could include :-

How much you paid for the game?
Did you pay over the odds for an import release to get it early?
Was it worth the money?
Did you do a midnight game collection on day of release?
Did this title influence your decision to buy it's associated system?
How has it stood up to the test of time?

Alongside the usual game play and game content discussion, which is always welcome, the possibilities are endless.

I remember enjoying Cannon Fodder immensely, and when one of the soldiers that had survived for loads of missions eventually died, it was actually quite emotional!

Great intro too:

So true! I remember having a soldier of my own name and he managed to survive virtually the whole game, was a horrid moment when he finally got caught in a snare of all things, just helplessly watching his slow death:eek:

Such a great game though, probably my favourite game on the Amiga and being a system of so many classics that's high praise indeed! Would love to see it remade for something like XBLA, with 4 player co-op or something, although the lack of a mouse could be a slight spoiler.

One thing that always puzzled me, I never did complete the game and will always remember the level I could never figure out how to complete. It was like a massive great square hanger, grey with walls all the way around the outside(with entrances where the enemies would come out from) and a heli base on a rooftop in the middle. No matter how myself and my mate tried, we just couldn't figure out how to clear it, anyone else remember the level?
