Figured its worth a topic so people can share any tips they have for the game.

One I noticed for fast ranking and easy high XP is use all of your secondary guns; Machine Pistols and hand guns.

The reason I say this is to get the Mastery 10,000 XP for your primary you need to get the guns to level 28. That is a lot of kills.

For Machine Pistols and hand guns its either level 7 or level 10 depending on the gun (and once you reach level 5 its Akimbo time which makes things very easy).

To get to level 10 of a secondary gun you only need about 40 kills with it. Compared to the 500+ kills needed for the primary to get to level 28.

So easy and fast 10,000 XP. And given there are 5 Machine Pistols and 5 Handguns that is a 100,000 XP for 400kills.

If you want to level up fast, use Specialist with Hardline Pro and play Domination. Everytime you unlock a "perk" and every 2 kills or 4 assists after you unlock them all you get 100pts plus the kill pts.

I prestiged in under 18 hours doing this. Granted I would only use it if you are running solo or at least "Recon" so you have some benefit to the team and not just yourself.

Good tips AnthonyG i wasnt aware about that.

@ Det, specialist is awesome. Ive bagged no end of xp since i started using it.

Any reason for domination?

Purely for the amount of caps you'll get adding to unlocking specialist perks. Tho if you're not a fan of dom then you shouldn't play it because you wont do as well as a game mode you'd enjoy.

Few more tips; I may be saying the obvious but it never hurts incase someone did not know

1. After prestiging the fastest way to get hardline pro is to use the Specialist setup as you get killstreaks with 1, 3, 5 and 7 on this setup (meaning potential of 4). The best you can get otherwise is 2,3,4 on Assault setup.

2. To get Steady Aim Pro use an akimbo'd weapon. As every akimbo'd kill goes down as a hip file kill

3. And any perks you unlock in specialist setup you keep over any round based games - S&D, Demolition, CTF.

Aargh its annoying you have to get upto level 20 to use specialist, even more annoying is even though I unlocked my ACR I still can't use it for the few games as I can't get on my customs classes till I've played a few games.

Trophy System: Protects you from 2 projectiles (excluding bullets), so Predator missiles, frag grenades, flash grenades, IMS, etc.

Juggernauts: 2 RPG's kill them (though they regen health so don't expect them to take one RPG then you die and come back and finish them off with another... it has to be 2 right after each other). You can 1 shot a Jugg with a predator missile to the head. Striker is effective if you come up on his back and just start spraying.

Osprey: You can shoot down Osprey care package drops before the enemy gets any care packages (I've done this numerous times)... 3 stinger missiles so kill yourself after the first (I think 1 Javelin will do the trick since it's an aerial assault instead of flying straight at it from the ground).

Douchebags: Don't be one.

Prestige Tokens: Don't waste them on Double Exp, use them on Weapon unlocks and custom class slots (you only get 5 extra and 10 prestiges so if you get to prestige 10 and used all tokens on other things then you'll only have the stock 5 classes). *Disclaimer: This only pertains to you if you plan on prestiging.* Otherwise I would still say to use them on custom classes if you have some from previous CoD prestiging.

Teamwork: Do it. Sure no one wants to die capturing an objective, but if you don't jump on it with your buddy then he'll die and you won't capture it (Tip: if there are 2 people on the flag then it captures quicker).

HQ: Sucks because only the initial guy to stand on it gets capture points.

EMP: Wait till the enemy calls in an osprey or some other KS, then call it in, it will destroy it and you'll get points for destroying it.

Can I ask is there a reason a load of posts in this section are being deleted?

I have got a few emailed notifications of posts; one in this thread by SHATNERSTACTIC and a load of others in other threads and all were gone.

Are people deleting them seconds after posting, or is the mods not allowing them for some reason?

It seemed like a pretty good tip too

CM901 rate of fire is increased to 750RPM with an under slung attachment (toob or shotgun) from 666RPM without.

Just this thread? How do you get notified? I've never been notified a post has been deleted. Or have you subscribed?

No a lot of threads. And I have it where if I post in a thread all the responses get emailed to me.

I was just a bit sad and looked at the one of this thread and noticed its not there, so looked at and quite a few others and they were all gone too.

Just curious if people are posting and having an immediate change of mind and deleting or if the mods are deleting them all.

I know none of mine have been deleted by mods recently but I've deleted maybe one or two this week.

The one I put on I made a mess of posting whilst trying to link to the video demonstration on YouTube without embedding. Meant to redo it but ran out of time.

Exmags on shotguns makes 50% more pellets come out. So the striker would have 12 pellets versus the stock 8. Just an fyi.

Emptying nearly a full clip of the Akimbo FM9s also takes them down. Lots of bullets in a short space of time = win.

34 bullets versus 2rpgs :)

Surely you can unload the FM9s in a much quicker time then getting off 2 RPGs (not even thinking about rapid fire on the FM9s)?

Assuming his riot shield isn't blocking any bullets ya

I took out 2 juggs last night with less than full clip of akimbo fmg9's and they were full health because they had only just equipped it. Sneak up behind them, pray and spray, job done:D

The akimbo fmg9's are so op it's not even funny. They literally out gun EVERYTHING at close quarters and they have decent range too.

At the same time? Lol

BEASTicles... lol. The consensus is that dual wield secondary and RPG and another thing were just pretty damn effective against them. Then the team kill method was most effective. Throwing semtex and whatever else was not very practical lol.

Yeah they are the MW3 version of the Raffica. I loved that gun akimboed in MW2.

Last Stand and those and you were invincible.

Some have been posted elsewhere and credit goes to those who posted them, just to keep all tips in the one thread.

You can hold your breath (although it doesn't steady your aim nor do you hear the character doing so) with an Assault Rifle and an SMG and they count towards Marksman Pro.

3 UAV's at a time (called in by anybody in your team) gives you an Advanced UAV.

You can knife your own Trophy System with Sitrep equipped and it will go towards Sitrep Pro.

Trophy system will stop the AC-130's 105 and 40mm shells from killing you, although the heavy machine gun rounds are not stopped and are still lethal.

Apparently going prone when a Bouncing Betty goes off will save you from dying?

Scavenger does not replenish equipment like Semtex, Claymores etc but replenish Throwing Knives.

Shooting down air support counts towards your own point streak.
