CES 2016 HDR 4K TV Comparison - at a glance
The televisions have, once again, been the stars of the CES and, with all the exciting developments around High Dynamic Range (HDR) and the Ultra HD specs, capabilities and specifications have moved on considerably since 2015.
With so many high-end TVs announced, AVForums decided to wade through the spec sheets, press releases and interviews to put together a meaningful comparison which should, hopefully, help you see who is delivering what and which TVs are going to be the most future-proofed as we head in to this brave new world of home entertainment.

We look at screen sizes, display technologies, Ultra HD Alliance Premium certification, peak brightness, colour gamuts and more. We will update the table with any missing details and investigate the manufacturer’s claims once we’ve had the TVs in for review.

Notes:
  • FALD = Full Array Local Dimming
  • Colour Space is a percentage of DCI with 100% being best
  • DV = Dolby Vision

The observant amongst you will note that the Samsung KS9000 is FALD in contrast to the details revealed for the KS9500 at CES. we have been assured that the UK model will definitely benefit from full array local dimming, whereas our American cousins will have to 'make-do,' with an edge-lit flagship model.

If you happen to have seen/know any of the details we've not entered, please tell us in the comments below.
