OLED and 4K Projectors cause the biggest buzz at the show

IFA 2016 was short on surprises but long on new technology as the television revolution continues.Philips announced their long awaited OLED TV, the flat screen 55-inch 901F, whilst Loewe also got on the OLED bandwagon with the Bild 7 and the designer Bild 9. Panasonic had an OLED on show as well, although only a prototype this time, whilst their new DMP-UB700 offers quality Ultra HD Blu-ray at a lower price.

Sony had a prototype Ultra HD Blu-ray player at IFA, as well as their latest native 4K projector, the VPL-VW550ES; although they no longer have the native 4K projector market to themselves thanks to JVC's new DLA-Z1 laser projector. Epson had their latest range of projectors at the show, whilst Sharp made a return to the European market thanks to Slovakian TV manufacturer UMC.
Yamaha had a full range of new audio products for visitors to see, including their latest soundbars and AV Receivers, all with MusicCast of course. Finally LG didn't have any new products at IFA but they did give everyone a glimpse of the future with demonstrations of Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) and High Frame Rate (HFR) TV broadcasting.
