In case you hadn’t noticed, Apple Pay launched in the UK last week (14/07/15) and some of our pioneering Forum Members are already using it.
For the uninitiated, Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service allowing you to pay for goods and services via your iDevice. Compatible iThings include iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Watch-compatible devices (iPhone 5 and later models), iPad Air 2, and iPad Mini 3. Payments can be made through Visa's PayWave, MasterCard's PayPass, and American Express's ExpressPay terminals by just touching your device against them.
It all sounds nice and easy but, of course, Apple Pay is not without its limitations, not least the hardware ownership requirement. What we really want is a ubiquitous solution that lets us buy products anywhere, anytime with any digital device. But it is a start.
So we’re now nearly a week in to this new age of digital payments in the UK and how do our members feel about it; does it negatively impact the battery; do they feel secure in using it and what are the annoyances?
You can read about all that, and more, by hitting up the discussion tab and of course we’d love to you to share your early experiences there too...
