Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 4K Blu-ray Review
by Cas Harlow
The Mitchells vs. The Machines' Jeff Rowe gives TMNT the Spider-Verse makeover, crafting a superbly scripted teen action-comedy with unsurprisingly innovative sound and visuals that all come together for a must-have 4K release.
George Lucas’ gloriously nostalgic ode to his own childhood is given a 4K release to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. And while the film is every bit the wonderful paean to friends, youth and possibility it always was, it now sadly looks anything but a low-budget film from 1973…for better or for worse…

Monarch (Apple TV+) Season 1 Premiere TV Show Review
by Tom Davies
Apple's Monsterverse TV show delivers intrigue and action in equal measure, but its real strength is the casting of father/son duo Kurt and Wyatt Russell as its lead character. But if none of that is enough to recommend it to you... Godzilla is in it!
Ironically, for such a culture-centric production, DC's now 'non-canon' Blue Beetle is a pretty blandly paint-by-numbers Superhero Origins 101 outing that lands with an unsurprisingly shiny new 4K release.
Nicol Paone's sophomore outing is a jet black comedy with Uma Thurman commendably but also at-times awkwardly navigating a satirical clash between the art world and the underworld.

The 250i V2 is the first rung on the Moon Audio amplifier ladder and, in a world of very complex integrated amps, it’s commendably simple. Does the route one approach work?
With built-in streaming support and HDMI-ARC compatibility, the new addition looks to offer two-channel support for your wider home entertainment needs.
Barry Keoghan shines in Saltburn, the wicked, gorgeous and dizzying second film from Promising Young Woman’s Emerald Fennell. Tearing apart class, wealth, privilege and the institutions we’re taught to respect or aspire to with delirious – and often hilarious – glee in one of the sharpest films of the year.
Steven Spielberg showed what he was capable of right out of the gate with this taut, tense and incredibly dusty tale of a terrorizing tractor-trailer relentlessly pursuing Dennis Weaver through the California desert. And Universal unleash Duel on 4K with a great new transfer and one massive selling point that may not be quite what the studio intended…let's dive in shall we?

For All Mankind Season 4 (Apple TV+) Premiere TV Show Review
by Cas Harlow
Apple's finest flagship show lands with another deep impact opener, affording a glimpse at what will undoubtedly be another memorable season of this tremendous alternate sci-fi series.
The Aya is not simply a new speaker from Rega; it’s the beginning of a whole new way of making speakers for the company and represents a possible answer to an issue that has been bugging audio for the last decade. Is it any good though?
The Killer gives David Fincher an opportunity to round up all the skills he’s honed as a director. But no matter how well-drawn the characters, or how taught the component pieces, disappointingly, it’s all in service of some very tired hitman revenge plot beats.
Brie Larson returns and this time, it’s girl’s night! Yes, Nia DaCosta teams Captain, Ms and, er, Professor? Marvel on a solidly whimsical romp that for the most part remembers what it was like when girls just wanted to have fun…
With its distinctive ‘devilish’ red looks, the beast is back with a number of upgrades, adding the latest Bluetooth and aptX Lossless support, along with some future-proofing xMEMS speaker technology.
Loki’s back. Way too far back. And forward. And most places in between in the return of arguably the most successful (and consequential) of Disney’s Marvel spin-offs. In the first episode of Season 2, Loki can’t stop himself from slipping. But is the show slipping too?

Lawmen: Bass Reeves (Paramount+) Premiere TV Show Review
by Cas Harlow
Ditching its Taylor Sheridan/Yellowstone Universe ties somewhat, and clearly designed to pioneer a whole new "Lawmen:" Universe, Bass Reeves is a well-drawn Western show, with Silo's Sheriff, David Oyelowo, clearly finding his calling as the eponymous lawman.
The term ‘classic’ is bandied around far too easily these days…but Michael Curtiz’s now 80-year-old legendary love story is the very definition of the word.
