www.baymobile.co.uk are back with a vengence. same theme (supposedly cheap electronics) but the site has been recently re-registerd.
    however.....
. the site does not use https in the payment process. all payment methods lack a refund mechanism.

From a Whois lookup of the domain:

    Registrant's address:
    Landsdowne street, 14, 14
    Tyne and Wear
    Sunderland
    SR4 6NS
    United Kingdom

    Postcode doesn't match the street.
Domain was registered just a month ago.
No contact details at all provided on the site.

That should be reason enough to avoid.

A customer directed our attention to this thread to find all this written about us.

First of all, we had no clue that the recent name of our website used to be owned by another company which had history on this forum. You must agree with us that once a domain name is released it can be re-owned by anyone, but this doesn't necessarily make a connection between the two.

The message this thread is sending out is purely fictional, beliefs that have no given facts.

FACT 1 : THERE WILL ALWAYS BE DELAYS IN CUSTOMERS ORDERS
FACT 2 : DELIVERIES THIS TIME OF YEAR ARE PROBABLY DELAYED UP TO 3 DAYS
FACT 3 : CUSTOMERS WHO HAVEN'T RECEIVED THEIR PRODUCTS IN TIME HAVE NO GOOD REASON TO TAKE THESE ACTIONS.
FACT 4 : UP TO DATE, WE HAVE NO UNDELIVERED ORDERS, ONLY DELAYED ORDERS

To Crocodile : Where did you find that ? GOOGLE ? If you have been spending most of your life at the computer you should find out that postcodes and addresses are quite different in reality, Google never gives a precise address, there will always be changes in street numbers and postcodes, that Google or any other service may forget to update.

It will not be long, and we will speak with the site's admins, and have this thread shut down, don't worry about that.
It's a shame that in the day of Christmas, you really have nothing better to do.

Just checked out your site and a friend registered to see if you do use https, but it seems you don't accept 'standard' payment method such as visa/mastercard or paypal etc. So the refund comments seem founded. The methods you do accept are obscure not common place

    > To Crocodile : Where did you find that ? GOOGLE ?

Actually according to Royal Mail that postcode defines 33-63 midmoor road - Lansdowne Street is about a mile from it.

Indeed- it says VISA and MASTERCARD on the front page, but when you go to pay it only lists:

    Bank transfer
    Paysafecard
    Ukash ( UK Only )
Green Dot ( USA Only )

Mostly all web sources that provide information to you are unreliable, this is a fact!

Because they can't be in all places at all times, they also can't assure proper changes in information that they supply.

How about Royal Mail? You trust them?

Their website has "Lansdowne Street, Sunderland" listed as SR2 0DG. Note how it's Lansdowne Street, and not Landsdowne Street. There's no record of a Landsdowne Street. So, yes, we'll all be suspicious of someone who:
    -Can't spell their own street
    -Doesn't know their own postcode
-Claims to take payment from cards they do not

Baymobile: just reread your responses in this thread, and based on them alone you don't seem very professional. Coupled with the website irregularities it seems the OP was correct.

I guess that includes any info on your own site? the evidence so fare including your site and replies is more then enough for me and any one else with ounce of common sense to avoid your site!

And as the "new" domain name owner and new business it shows you couldent even do some basic reserch witch again puts me off of buying from you.

So i shall ask just one question, nigeria or cameroon?

Just to add a little bit, your website says "copyright to Bay Mobile Ltd". There is no Bay Mobile Limited.
The "Bay Ltd. Mobile" refered to in other areas doesn't correspond to a limited company either and the name can only be to confuse people.

As for the domain name, the registrant address is provided by Nominet, along with the name Steve Herman.
Nominet manage the .uk domain names.

And on what fact do you base your personal opinion ?
Please share with us what has driven yourself to believe this.

The address listed in the domain admin does not play an important part of the website, this is admitted, but this is not a reason to say all these bad things about us.

Now, even the smallest typo in address details will be corrected in due time because of what you said, so we will see then what you have to say.

It will not be long and this thread will be shut down, no admin with common sense will leave this thread on it's feet.

So how do you explain the mastercard and visa logos on your front page when you don't accept them as payment methods?

This reponse says it all, if you cant get the right address registered to the domian and business how can you be trusted with peoples money?
All smells a little bit funny, this would not be the first scam of this type and sadly wont be the last but from the replies above about companys house and so on its clear you have been rumbled. I only hope it goes further then internet chatter and the right people get the info to take this in a legal direction..

Hmm... no contact details on their website.
SR2 0DG is residential by the way.

You are way out of line!

It seems like you really have nothing else to do and it's a shame.

In the end, it doesn't really matter as long as facts don't add up and any person with common decency will ignore all this crap.

It's easy to accuse and to be ironic, I'm really sorry to see the existence of such a group.

I assume you have no explanation for this then?

Either you accept them (which you don't) or it is a lie - which is it?

Hmm.. I cannot find a registered office for Bay Mobile Ltd. or, as on their returns address in Swansea, Bay Ltd.
There is no trace of a Bay Ltd. either.

Why would you want the thread shut down when you're doing such a fine job of refuting any suspicions? I'm sure any potential customers would be delighted to read your posting of:

The true name of your "limited" company together with it's registration number.

    Your trading & warehouse addresses.

    Your VAT registration number.

The landline number registered to the business.

Meanwhile, to paraphrase Bruce & Tess: Keeeeeep Digging! :D

to be fair to yourself, and provide sufficient detail to allow a decision to be made on this thread, can you list each and every question/query from each of the posters on this thread, and provide and answer

in particular, the address variatiances, the non secure nature of the site, and the visa etc logos and confirm if you accept those forms of payment or not, or advise why the logos appear on the site if they aren't accepted

can you also provide some history to the company and site, thanks

i'm sure if you have valid replies you will satisfy those with questions and resolve any outstanding issues
